Looking back at 2024 and forward to 2025
I have loved my work as a percussionist for the Dance For Parkinson`s Projects, both with Eden Court Theatre and with Dance North. Applying percussion to the moment, an honour to work with such lovely people, both dance tutors and participants. Where work really is medicine.
Look forward to more in 2025
“Holding Court” Storytelling Eves have been an experiment, hosted by The Forres Heritage Trust, with two professional storytellers, Margot Henderson and myself, holding the evening with a story or two each and then an Open Floor space for others to contribute. Grateful to the Uilleann piper, Rory O`Connell, for setting the stories in the place they need to be with his evocative and haunting pipes. Local fiddler, Steve Cooper, also has added the magic touch when he has been in town.
The Open Floor bit is both terrifying and exciting as I we have no idea what or who next ! That is where the fun is – the improvised and the unexpected.
The Autumn series ran from September to December 2024. We will announce plans for 2025 in the New Year.
