It is a feeling that makes you say to yourself, ‘I’m glad to be alive today! I’m glad to be part of this world!”
Whether to expand your rhythmic vocabulary for jamming with others or for self-expression, drumming has potential to bring about healing and a feeling of wellbeing and connectedness.
This is a mixed ability class with beginners and returners and all levels are welcome. Djembes, kpanlogos, congas, hand percussion such as claves, cowbells and shakers are also provided people and you are welcome to bring your own drum.

This audio file of the band The Dirty Bongos demonstrates rhythm as the core of the music – where original material came out of a foundation of traditional rhythm – in this case an Afro – Brazilian rhythm which we used to develop into a complete tune.
