This will be an in-depth dive into rhythm using improvisation games and deep listening exercises to open up creativity through rhythm. Whether an experienced player or new to drumming we will explore the innate musicality within us and how to support and enhance our playing in a group session. A variety of drums and percussion will be provided, and we will use our bodies and voice to empower each other through rhythmic expression. You will also learn some technique on how to play the instruments, but the emphasis is on expression listening and fun. As a four-hour session we will have breaks where teas and snacks are provided, and you may wish to bring along a packed lunch for your self or food to share.
