Lovely event – drum circle at this on overlooking Loch Ness

Rhythm Day in Forres on 18th August 2019.

Session for young Children in the morning followed by the afternoon session with adults in the afternoon.

The adult`s session offers an opportunity to go deeper into the rhythms. We will look at feeling the rhythm in your body, and through some games and exercises and how to listen and express yourself on the  instrument. Through some improvisations and some playing of traditional rhythms  we will play interlocking parts in a group setting. Teas and coffees including herb teas and biscuits will be provided in the break. We will then come together to play a mixture of drums and percussion in an arranged piece that we create in the day, with song and movement where appropriate. Satisfying uplifting and fun. Suitable for all levels and abilities including beginners.

The DrumJam for Children
An opportunity to play percussion instruments and to be taken  on an interactive rhythm journey where the children are part of the story. Expect the unexpected and lots of noisy fun !

2019 : Looking forward to these 2 drumming sessions in Cromarty, on The Black Isle. Toddler and parent/carer group has a waiting list and is full but still places left on carnival  workshop – Afro Cuban and Brazilian Rhythms to get you to move and dance and celebrate being alive !
